What is it?
PRP places many tiny laser spots across the outer retina. This lowers the retina's demand for oxygen, so abnormal new vessels shrink and the risk of bleeding and detachment falls.
It is the standard treatment for proliferative diabetic retinopathy and for new vessels after vein occlusion, often combined with injections.
